Introduction

Years ago, an idea to create a hybrid decentralized exchange was first thought of and conceptualized. A better solution to address all the issues that plaguing existing trading experiences by combining the best of both centralized and decentralized trading worlds.

Project TXA's Vision

Project TXA and Tacen have been hard at work to bring to life a new breed of hybrid decentralized exchange. Comprising of a centralized order book, by Tacen, built on top of the revolutionary Decentralized Settlement Layer (DSL) by Project TXA, hDEX as it’s called internally has been steadily making progress.

The Decentralized Settlement Layer (DSL)

Project TXA’s DSL creates a trading experience which allows users keep custody of their assets, introduces real cross-chain capabilities and lowering or removing costly gas/slippage. While a centralized order book means the same order matching, speed and reliability you’ve come to expected from current centralized exchanges. But without the same risks, since you never deposit your funds into a centralized entity.

Open Source Development

After years of development work, the first piece of the settlement is finally released. You can take a look for yourself here: https://gitlab.com/projecttxa/txa-dsl/txa-settlement-contracts.

Project TXA has made the decision to open source the code so that other projects, market places and exchanges to create their own product while still utilizing the settlement capabilities from DSL. Chief Architect, Jae Yang, goes into detail about why and what one can expect with the DSL in the latest Twitter Spaces. Future Developments and Community Engagement

Up next, we will be releasing the repo for Settlement Data Providers, the second half of the DSL. The SDP will unlock full settlement capabilities as well as allowing entities to participate in the settlement and earn rewards for doing so. Once completed, we will be in the clear for releasing hDEX alpha.
